G2 Airdancer was originally conceived for a 7-meter-tall Airdancer installation in the Lichthof of Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design welcoming the students coming back from their summer break. As a formalist approach to bold, compressed, display SansSerifs G2 Airdancer rather explores technological properties of type design than a revivalist narrative.
G2 Airdancer features three distinct families — round, semi-round, and edgy — each offering unique characteristics, yet designed to be interchangeable. This flexibility is further enhanced by its availability as a 2-axis variable font, allowing seamless transitions between families and styles.
